Caldwell & Walsh was the Construction Manager for this new, 40,000 square foot, high-tech, light industrial facility used for the restoration of vintage and modern racecars. The two story facility included curving steel walls and roof forms that are utilized for its structure. The building is clad in a variety of metal, glass, and translucent panels. At the request of the owner, the panels on the exterior were color-matched to be Ferrari red. The showroom features a turntable on which select automobiles are displayed. Its interior boasts a modern, industrial look adorned with a curved balcony from which one can view the cars being worked on in the restoration bays.
The facility included office space and a mechanic shop. Special finishes included: leather wrapped stair case and reception desk, radius glass, curtain wall, metal panels, radiant sidewalk, digital controls, terrazzo, and an A/V system.
