What is now an oustanding auditorium at the Western Middle School was a critical space badly in need of a major update. To align its facilities with its excellent programs, the school needed a complete interior demolition and renovation of the 6,000 square foot auditorium. All work also had to be performed without disruption to ongoing school activities.
The scope of work included pouring of concrete to accommodate new seating, new lighting and sound system, control booth, audio visual accouterments, stage improvements, refinished floor, stairs and stage curtains. Also included were new ceiling, stage lighting, side and rear walls with sound absorbing materials, epoxy and carpet flooring. The project received an award from the Greenwich Public School System.
